Project 4:
Getting Walls in Show Shape
To wrap paintings and store them. This will get the walls in show shape!
Today my mom wrapped the paintings up and I carried them over to the storage area. We finished the basement! I worked for four hours, but my mom has logged many more on this project. I was able to carry them for her. She is a very hard working strong woman and I was so happy to come along side her today!
I thought about my dad a bit today as I was logging my 3.5 miles carrying paintings. I love art because of my parents. I wish my dad could see my mom now. He would be looking down so proud of her! He sure left her with a lot. She is handling is with such grace and strength. I saw a beautiful red breasted wood pecker as I was walking back and forth. I remebered how they have enjoyed this place and all the gifts that have surrounded this property. A calf was born yesterday and Ivan the Great Horned Owl is hiding from me, but there were pelicans drifting around the lake today. We sure miss dad. Mom and I had a few good laughs today and we are getting a little done all the time. My brothers and their familes are helping too! It's a village project, a family project. Anyway, it's sweet to remember. I'm so thankful to be spending this time with my mom.
I'm working on a business name for myself. Do you have any ideas?

Here she is! Working hard packing up all these paintings and getting these walls in show shape!
TIP for getting your house in SHOW SHAPE: Take all your personal pictures down. Most of your art should come down too. You may leave a few paintings, but very minimal! It's best for others to be able to imagine their art on your walls. It's a good idea to touch up the paint too. This gets everything looking crisp and clean for the new home owners!
YEP! We accomplished a little bit today! One day at a time! Best mom ever!
