Page Turner Tuesday  Life in a Larger Story's Book Club 2016 Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?   (and other concerns)  by Mindy Kaling Get the audio version of this book! I love it when the author reads their book, at least in this case, it' a great choice. We are currently commuting about 2 hours a day and this audiobook joyfully helped us pass the time. Mindy had us laughing out loud at times. She frankly talks about her body type as average and it was refreshing. She talks about writing her own parts for auditions, times when she flew and others when she failed. She's frank and honest and I liked her book. YES! Add a photo booth to your party! Photo booths bring laughter and smiles two perfect ingredients for a party! Here's how we set ours up. BACKDROP We lined the wall with a green plastic table cloth (to hide my pictures on the wall). I rolled out a long piece of clear packaging tape and then lined it with streamers of the same size. I made them a foot longer than the wall, so they hung on the floor. Once all the streamers were in place I added another line of packaging tape on top to hold it all in place. Hang the streamer backdrop. Add lights. PROPS Have fun! Make a basket full of props and keep them together for your next party. The dollar store has a bunch of crazy props, as well as the party section at Target and Hobby Lobby. # Make a social media # for your party and post it by your photo booth. SAY CHEESE You are all set to go!

I've never been a boss at saving money. I've tried to use coupons.... forget it! I am not organized enough to be a deal master. I'd almost pay someone to not say the word coupon. I also think people who use coupons should have their own seperate line at stores. By peer pressure I opted to download the King Soopers app and I did it. I added some online coupons to my Soopers card. It took about 10 minutes and required no scissors, (which is key). I guess I'm admitting maybe it's worth a shot. #icandothis #savemoney #onesmalldecisionatatime

Dear Emily..... We were discussing a moment when Emily was at the top of a double black diamond staring down the moguls and she was afraid. Her mom a few feet down the slope said.... In other words, hurry up, let's go. This is so funny and true in so many situations!  Thanks Emily and Vivian for sharing your life and wisdom with me!

I can not wait to meet this little guy. It's starting to get real friends! What's the best puppy advice you have for us? What's your favorite puppy... food, toy, treat, leash, collar.... anything. Favorite training books, methods, tip or tricks? Loki is 5 weeks old here. We get him in just 3 more weeks! This guy is coming to us from OBX Huskies in NC . They have been so nice to work with! He's 4 weeks old here.

It's really sweet to see my daughter and mom so sweet together. I want to jump in the hug too! This makes my heart happy!!  HERE TO HELP: This included cleaning, putting a few things away, and arranging flowers.  I love this stitch fix shirt!! It's the McClain Crochet Panel Knit Top. LOVE IT!! Hydrangea and Stock. BEAUTIFUL!! I need to plant some Hydrangeas on the north side of my house. They are elegant! Coral Roses, Lilies, and royal blue Stock. AMAZING! Having this girl by my side is a blessing! She works hard, makes me laugh and has a great sense of style!

I did it, barely! Week 3- I lost 4 pounds. Week 4- That time of the month. I learned something about myself, I have a REALLY HARD TIME eating well that week. Week 5 - I blew it and I wanted to give up completely. My friend Gail reminded me, "What you learn in the challenge is part of the challenge." I got back on the wagon. Week 6 - Grace. I did a blood test and learned that I'm very sensitive to gluten, dairy and eggs. I'm trying to eat less of these. My energy is increasing. Week 7 - Working out more consistently. Eating is improving, but I'm still feeling like I'm not eating well. The more I plan the better I am. If I can plan my food the day before I'm good. If I don't, I tend to lean on Starbucks for my filler food. Week 8 - I learned that I am not good at this, but I can make some small steps towards a healthier life style. This is going to take pratice. I feel embarassed that I didn't lose more than 2 pounds. Day 60 Weight: 127 Per...

Page Turner Tuesday  Life in a Larger Story's Book Club 2016 Bread and Wine:   A Love Letter to Life Around the Table with Recipes  by Shauna Niequist  Shauna Niequist's Bread and Wine writes as if you are sitting around her table and she is inviting you in for dinner. This book reminded me of my love for entertaining. Somehow after reading this book I have again been inspired for my love of food, flavors and friends. She invites you into the experience of dining with friends even when it's messy. As I am writing this I am enjoying Sweet Potato Corn Tortilla Chips dipped into Chipotle Bitchin' Sauce an almond and grape seed oil puree seasoned with lemon, Bragg Liquid Aminos, garlic and chipotles; it's sweet, spicy, creamy and crunchy all in one bite. This also happens to be gluten free. I think I am going to try and go gluten free for a month or two. Here's the deal, I have had horrible acne for my entire life and I have been on every drug and face regim...

I have to share my excitement with you about how cute my puppy is, because you know soon I will be questioning myself, wondering why I am getting up at night with a puppy. I will be doubting my sanity. Then you will remind me that I love my kids and they want a dog. I want a walking buddy and I will need your encouragement that I will be able to train him to not eat my Frye boots. But, seriously, I, like a good proud mama think he's the cutest thing ever. Loki's brother is available for adoption. I selfishly want to have a walking friend and I want Loki to have family in CO:) If you happen to be in the Husky market, we LOVE this breeder!  OBX Huskies !
