How Do You Make a Guest Feel At Home?
We are having some friends stay with us this summer for a week. I really want to be sure that they are comfortable and feel welcome. Is there anything you do to make your guests feel welcome and at home? I am looking for some good ideas! Most of our family lives in Colorado, so we just don't have a lot of out of town guests. I found one good idea on pinterest, but looking for more. Any ideas for me?
Here is a simple and sweet idea for a guest tray.
Oh, I forgot to tell you about our guests. A dear girl friend of mine, her husband and their two boys, 9 and 6. Any fun ideas?

I was trying to think about how I try to make guests feel at home when I host them, and I realized that I've only ever had overnight guests twice, and one of them was Ellie. She came in the summer of 2009, and Cori and Scott were here with the boys at the same time. About a week before she was coming, we had had the boys (they were 4 and 6) over for a night and had taken them to do fun stuff. I was talking to Ellie on the phone a couple of days before she was to arrive, I had been so busy with work and everything else, I was telling her how stressed out I was about everything I had to do, including changing the sheets for her. She told me it was just her nephews that had slept on them and she totally didn't care. She said to save myself one thing that I was stressed about. So I did. She told me (after she went back to Baltimore) that she found a booger on the sheets. So I'd say your guests should be stoked as long as the sheets are booger-free.
